On 23 November Hong Kong held its first Commonwealth Cricket Cup at the Kowloon Cricket Club. The event was originally held earlier this year in New Delhi. Six Consul General’s teams took the field (Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa) and Pakistan took the Cup in a thrilling final with runners-up India. During the final, a Pakistani batsman tripped over and was helped up by an Indian player to the applause of the crowd. In the evening, a poolside RCS 150th Anniversary Dinner was held under a full moon and a charity auction raised 5000 pounds for Epilepsy Awareness.
