Commonwealth Day | 12 Mar 2018

March 13, 2018 by RCS Editor

On 12 March, RCS Hong Kong Branch organized the first Commonwealth Day Service at St John’s Cathedral including Buddhist monks, a Muslim imam, a Hindu priest, a Zoroastrian Dustoorjie and a Chinese lady bagpiper who played Amazing Grace.

Following the service, there was a reception in the HK Club attended by 60 guests with the Canadian Consul General reading the Queen’s Message and a speech by our patron, Dr Aron Harilela.
It was noted that 2018 was a big year for the Commonwealth with the games and summit in April and the 150th anniversary of RCS.
